Intrepid thought of the day...

One of the marketing newsletters I review on a regular basis is Early to Rise. It is a daily email that includes financial, marketing, and health advice. You can sign up for the newsletter here: http://www.earlytorise.com/.

This morning's edition had a cool segment on selling. I want to share a highlight...

We all have heard the statement "Don't sell the steak, sell the sizzle." It is as true a statement today as when it was first said decades ago. It means to sell the benefits and deeper benefits, that your prospect could care less about the product.

The phrase was said by Elmer Wheeler, who also said "Don't think so much about what you want to say as about what the prospect wants to hear - then the response you will get will more often be the one you are aiming for."

Have a great weekend.
